FORT KNOX, Ky. – In traditional style, soldiers from the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, took time Thursday to honor the Army’s 237th birthday.
Founded June 14, 1775, it was not just the Duke Brigade but the entire Army who took part in the nationwide celebration, honoring the single day nearly two and a half centuries ago that has inspired generations of Americans to take up arms in defense of the nation in times of war and peace.
