Lt. Col. Henry I. B. McNeilly (right), commander of the 1st Battalion, 6th Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division and native of Cross River, N.Y., prepares to cut the Army birthday cake in customary fashion using a saber. As tradition goes, McNeilly cut the cake along with the youngest Soldier in the unit, Pvt. Brandon Nick Nicklow, a Wisconsin native who belongs to the 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment and who recently turned 18 years old. The two were part of a celebration held Thursday for soldiers in the Duke Brigade and other members of the Fort Knox community in observance of the Army’s 237th birthday.
