Sgt. Beiswanger was born on November 4, 1993 in Winimac, Indiana. She graduated from Lawrence Central High School in June of 2012.
In July of 2012, Allison Beiswanger reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina. Private Beiswanger was meritoriously promoted to Private First Class at Recruit Training. She completed Marine Combat Training and then reported to Fort George G. Meade, where she completed the Basic Public Affairs Specialist and Broadcasting courses at the Defense Information School. Lance Cpl. Beiswanger reported to Defense Media Activity, Fort Meade, in August of 2013, where she served as a Combat Correspondent. In June of 2014, Cpl. Beiswanger reported to HQMC, Office of U.S. Marine Corps Communication as a Social Media Manager with the Digital Engagement Team. Sgt. Beiswanger was promoted February 1, 2015. She was named 2014 DoD Military Videographer of the Year, the first Marine to win the DoD-level award in 21 years. Sgt. Beiswanger completed the Intermediate Public Affairs Specialist Course in March 2015. She was accepted into the DoD Advanced Visual Information Training program at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and graduated there May 2016.
Sgt. Beiswanger reported to III Marine Expeditionary Force where she served as a detachment non-commissioned officer in charge. She deployed to Guam, Thailand, Korea, and mainland Japan to support units in the Pacific area of operations. Sgt. Beiswanger is currently the 3rd Marine Division CommStrat’s Operational Support Team Leader.
