U.S. Marines, Airmen, and Japan Air Self-Defense Force members work together to perform flight operations during the Aviation Training Relocation Program at Misawa Air Base, Japan, Dec. 12, 2024. Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 312 traveled from the continental United States to participate in this combined exercise. The squadron is temporarily augmenting Marine Aircraft Group 12, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing under the Unit Deployment Program, which aims to provide squadrons stationed in the continental United States with experience training in the Indo-Pacific.
