Brazilian Lieutenant General Gustavo Henrique Dutra de Menezes, G5 Director Brazilian Army International Affairs visited the 25th Infantry Division of the United States Army at Schofield Barracks on 17 Oct. 2023. The visit marked a milestone in the diplomatic and military relations between Brazil and the United States, focusing on the crucial aspects of interoperability and partnership.
The 25th Infantry Division hosted Lt. Gen. Gustavo Dutra de Menezes, the G5 Director Brazilian Army International Affairs and the G5 Chief of Brazilian Army General Staff.
The staff had the opportunity to tour the installation, visit the Lightning Academy, and witness Jungle Operations Training Course (JOTC), Small-Unit Ranger Tactics Course (SURT), and Special Patrol Insertion/Extraction System (SPIES) training.
