During an activation for COVID-19 a Soldier in the Massachusetts National Guard decided she wanted to return to school to become a health care provider, after working in a health care setting.
Spc. Stephen Prochniak, a military police officer with the 972nd Military Police Company volunteered for activation for Task Force Powderhorn to assist with staffing shortages across the commonwealth to fight COVID-19 in a non-clinical staff role. Prochniak assisted medical staff resuscitate an unconscious patient during a shift at Lowell General Hospital.
