CAMP COURTNEY, OKINAWA, Japan – Maj. Gen. Ju Ik-Suk, the commanding general of the Republic of Korea 1st Marine Division, visited III Marine Expeditionary Force from July 1-3, 2024.
II MEF was officially validated as a Joint Task Force – Capable (JTF-C) headquarters on June 10, 2024. This milestone means II MEF is now ready to lead and coordinate complex operations involving different branches of the U.S. military and allied forces.
CAMP COURTNEY, OKINAWA, Japan – III Marine Expeditionary Force received a shipment of Amphibious Combat Vehicles (ACVs) at Naha Military Port on June 29, 2024. The ACV is an eight-wheeled armored personnel carrier, designed to fully upgrade the Marine Corps’ fleet of Assault Amphibious Vehicles (AAV).
