Mr. Concetto Perticone, an antenna mechanic with Naval Computer Telecommunications Station (NCTS) Sicily working at Naval Radio Transmitter Facility (NRTF) Niscemi, was thanked for 27 years of faithful service at a ceremony held at the facility on the occasion of his retirement Dec. 31, 2018.
Perticone, a native Sicilian, joined the newly established NRTF Niscemi in October, 1991 where he became responsible for maintaining 22 high frequency transmitters and the 853-foot-tall low frequency transmitter that sits on a large plateau in the south-central part of Sicily.
