The forward-deployed amphibious transport dock ship USS Denver (LPD 9) departed Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 27 after embarking Marines assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU).
Twenty one sailors from USS Denver (LPD 9) participated in a cultural exchange event at Sun Home Egami, a local assisted living facility, to help clean and preserve their living quarters and learn local customs while participating in activities that showed the local elders a little bit of Navy hospitality Jan. 11.
