A departure ceremony for over 170 members of the newly formed Indiana National Guard's Task Force Guardian was held at the 38th Division Armory on Thursday, January 5, 2012. The Task Force is comprised of soldiers of the 81st Troop Command’s 381st and 387th Military Police Companies. During this deployment, these Indiana National Guard MPs will team up with their Afghanistan National Police counterparts to form a Police Combined Action Team to provide security in, and around, Bagrham Airfield.
