Brigadier General Michael E. Langley, commanding officer of 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade, spoke with 2nd MEB Marines, sailors, and their families during a deployment readiness briefing at Marston Pavilion on Camp Lejeune, North Carolina Feb. 20, 2018.
The meeting was intended to inform service members and their families of the unit’s current and future operations, and the myriad services available to them across Camp Lejeune, which are established to ease stressors often accompanying an active duty lifestyle.
The MEB provides a scalable, rapidly deployable and joint task force-capable command element (CE) with task-organized air-ground forces that are composited from forward-deployed or rapidly deployable forces in order to fulfill geographic combatant commander operational requirements.
