Ramstein's 86th Maintenance Squadron has numerous sections that all work toward a common goal; maintaining airworthiness by increasing aircraft lifespan. The 86MXS is in charge of routine, scheduled maintenance for aircrafts, called "Checks". The Isochronal Inspection is known as the "C-Check" and is the most in-depth inspection.
