Lt. John Beal, commanding officer of the Coast Guard Cutter Terrell Horne, officially signed for the cutter during a signing ceremony in Key West, Florida Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018. The Coast Guard Cutter Terrell Horne is named after Senior Chief Terrell Horne, who placed himself in harms way to protect a shipmate from being struck by a non-compliant vessel near Santa Cruz Island, California while conducting counter-smuggling operations.
