    Narration:
Camp Zama Soldiers recently hosted sailors from Atsugi and Yokosuka in their annual flag football game at Zama’s Trojan Field, extending the Army Navy rivalry to the Pacific in a fight for service pride and bragging rights.

At the start of the first half, Navy quarterback Stephen (steven) Marin tried to break through the Army line by throwing a wide range of passes, but Army’s intuitive defense denied them at nearly every turn. Army gained possession and quickly took advantage, with quarterback Isaac Cummings faking a pass and running into the end zone for the first score of the game. Cummings completed a reception to Derrick Trotter for the extra point, and Army led 7-0.

Navy tried to even the score but was blocked time and time again by the Army defense. Army stayed on the offensive, with Cummings completing a touchdown pass to Vernon Jones, but missing the extra point. Near the end of the first half, Navy finally got on the board when Marin threw a touchdown pass to Shamond Holloway. The extra point was good, and Army led 13-7 at the half.

Army started the second half strong, with Cummings completing another touchdown pass, this time to Jordan Lewis. Navy responded on their next possession with Marin finding Cam Thomas, who dove into the end zone for a score.

Army answered right back on their next possession, however, this time with Cummings running the ball into the end zone himself and putting six more point on the board for his team. Near the end of the game, and with Navy trailing by 14, Marin fired a pass to Jordan Hardnett, who ran it in for the score. However, Navy did not regain possession in the short time that remained, and Army held a 27-19 lead as the clock expired. The Camp Zama Soldiers’ win mirrored Army’s own 17-10 victory against Navy that same day in Philadelphia.
