Rear Adm. Eric C. Jones relieved Rear Adm. Peter J. Brown as the commander of Coast Guard 7th District Wednesday, June 19, 2019 during a change-of-command ceremony at Coast Guard Air Station Miami. The change-of-command ceremony is a time-honored tradition. It represents a total transfer of responsibility, authority and accountability from one individual to another.
