They’re among NATO’s most isolated soldiers, Norway’s Porsanger Battalion based in Troms og Finnmark county in the northernmost part of the country. For three months out of the year, the population of Finnmark does not see daylight. While many of us have been experiencing periods of isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic, a soldier from Porsanger Battalion tells us what life’s like for them.
