MC2 (SW) WILLIAM BRETT DODGE
Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class William Brett Dodge is a native of Beaufort, S.C. He graduated from the College of Charleston in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Hispanic Studies and Psychology. He entered the Navy in 2014 where he attended the Defense Information School located in Fort Meade, Md.
At sea, Dodge deployed with the Dwight D. Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group serving aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Stout (DDG 55). He has also supported the expeditionary West African mission Obangame Express working alongside the Benin, Cameroon, Nigerian, Niger and French navies and participated in UNITAS 2017 in Lima, Peru.
Dodge's most recent assignment has been serving as the public affairs officer on board Naval Support Facility (NSF) Deveselu, Romania and Aegis Ashore Missile Defense System (AAMDS) Romania.
While deployed in the 5th and 6th Fleet areas of operation, Dodge earned his enlisted surface warfare pin and also earned Sailor of the Quarter while attached to Stout. His other awards includs the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and Flag Letter of Commendation.
