Aug. 26 is the nation’s annual observance of Women’s Equality Day. The U.S. Army celebrates the courage and tenacity of the women who rose to the challenge to live up to the nation’s founding principles then, and the women who continue to do so today. In honor of that, Camp Zama is highlighting several women this month whose unique jobs play a crucial role in making it a world-class Army installation.
The first woman we’re recognizing is Sgt. 1st Class Ieshia Landrum, a career counselor assigned to the 78th Signal Battalion. Landrum shares the reasons why she changed jobs to become a career counselor after having served in the medical field in the Army.
