Nearly 20 Americans die from melanoma each day and it is estimated that more than 7000 deaths will be attributed to skin cancer in 2022 alone. With some thoughtful considerations like limiting exposure to the sun, wearing proper clothing, applying a broad-spectrum sunscreen to all uncovered areas, reapplying sunscreen after swimming or sweating, and generally being aware of the potential of sun damage, we can all continue to be healthy and safe.
