Every year on the last Saturday in September, the Pacific Inter-Club Yacht Association hosts the Margot Brown Wheelchair Regatta, where they provide boat rides, food and gifts to veterans in wheelchairs and ambulatory vets as a thank you for their service. The USACE San Francisco District has participated in this regatta for more than a decade with the crew of the Debris Collection Vessel John A.B. Dillard, Jr. taking large numbers of veterans on cruises throughout the bay. This video highlights the September 30, 2023, event.
