The Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg Prevention Department is responsible for Coast Guard operations directed at preventing maritime casualties, accidents and security incidents throughout the Sector area of responsibility. This is accomplished through the enforcement of laws and regulations for commercial vessels and facilities coupled with an extensive waterway management system.
