Two C-130H pilots with the 152nd Airlift Wing, Nevada Air National Guard, simulate aerial wildland firefighting with the modular airborne fire fighting system (MAFFS) at the Channel Islands Air National Guard Station, Calif. on May 9, 2024. This training was conducted as part of a week long preparation and certification event held alongside U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, Cal Fire, and other federal and state agencies tasked with supporting wildland firefighting efforts.
