Coast Guard Cutter James’ embarked unmanned aircraft system spotted a suspicious vessel in international waters approximately 260 miles off the coast of Ecuador, Jan. 5. 2025. James’ boarding team interdicted the vessel, apprehending three suspected smugglers and seizing more than 2,025 pounds of cocaine, which was offloaded in Port Everglades, Florida, April 9, 2025.
