Exercise Salaknib, first conducted in 2016, is a two-week army-to-army exercise between the United States Army and the PA. This year, the U.S. Army's 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team (2IBCT), 25th Infantry Division (25ID) is providing the majority of U.S. Army forces. The purpose of this exercise is to increase military readiness, reinforce interoperability, and strengthen relationships. Exercise Salaknib 2024 includes multiple small-arms and maneuver live fire exercises (LFX), jungle training, artillery and mortar LFX events, and several engineering and construction projects.

FORT MAGSAYSAY, Philippines — Soldiers from Charlie Company, 2nd Forward Support Medical Platoon, 3rd Battalion, 25th Aviation Regiment, 25th Combat Aviation Brigade and Soldiers with the Philippine Army, conducted a subject matter expert exchange (SMEE) on medical evacuation, reinforcing interoperability and strengthening allied readiness on March 24, 2025 in support of Salaknib 2025.
