Maj. Gen. Charles L. Hudson, right, thanks Sgt. Maj. Patrick L. Kimble for his work as sergeant major of Marine Corps Base Camp Smedley D. Butler and Marine Corps Installations Pacific Aug. 23 following Kimble’s relief ceremony in front of Building 1 headquarters here. Kimble spearheaded multiple campaigns to reinforce core values and ensure the positive impact of Marines and sailors on the surrounding communities. During Kimble’s tenure, MCIPAC improved the quality of life of single Marines and sailors by raising awareness about the single Marine program and providing the program with a new facility. Kimble is scheduled to assume duties as sergeant major of 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif. His replacement will be Sgt. Maj. Robert K. Williamson, who is currently serving as sergeant major of Headquarters and Service Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C.
