Soper, first sergeant for the 623rd QM Co., who hails from Bad Axe, Mich., case their unit's colors during an inactivation ceremony Aug. 23 at Fort Bragg, N.C. The unit's storied past includes aerial equipment repair and supply for campaigns of World War II, the Vietnam War, Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
