Polish Army soldiers hosted a formal ceremony and military parade during the day-long celebration of Polish Armed Forces Day Aug. 15. Soldiers with Multinational Battle Group-East participated in a day of competitions as well with a 3 km race in the morning and tug-of-war and volleyball competitions in the evening. Poland celebrates Polish Armed Forces Day on Aug. 15, which commemorates the anniversary of the 1920 Battle of Warsaw (also known as the ‚"Miracle on the Vistula") and celebrates the Assumption of the Virgin Mary.
