Maj. Gen. David H. Berger, commanding general of Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, Calif., spoke at Sgt. Maj. Harrison L. Tanksley’s retirement ceremony aboard Camp Pendleton, Calif., Aug. 29. During the ceremony, Tanksley received a Bronze Star for superior professionalism and inspiring leadership during his recent one year deployment to Afghanistan.
