Construction Mechanic 3rd Class Joshua D. Adams, from Waterbury, Conn., assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 11, removes a cotter pin to disassemble the Pitman arm of an MTVR MK31. NMCB-11 is home-ported in Gulfport, Miss. and is currently deployed to multiple locations in support of AFRICOM, EUCOM, CENTCOM, and PACOM. NMCB-11's Det. Horn of Africa (HOA) is a Combined Joint Task Force (CJTF) HOA unit whose mission includes stabilizing and strengthening security in East Africa through military-to-military engagements with partner nations.
