A U.S. Army combat medic does an initial assessment of a simulated wounded Soldier during a Joint Casualty Evacuation Exercise, March 5, 2008. Soldiers from Division Special Troops Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division train alongside the Republic of Korea's (ROK) 1st ROK Division Medical Battalion during this training evolution. Both countries are participating in Exercise Key Resolve/Foal Eagle 2008, an annual combined/joint exercise involving forces from both the U.S. and the ROK. This exercise provides training to further enhance interoperability and combat readiness, while also demonstrating both countries' commitment to the ROK/US alliance.
