Service members from the Nepal Army and U.S. Department of Defense, including Marines and Sailors from III Marine Expeditionary Force, discuss and plan for a humanitarian assistance/disaster relief scenario during the Pacific Resilience field training exercise. Both countries, as part of the exercise, established a Multinational Military Coordination Center to allow for practices to be tested, gaps to be identified and addressed, and cooperative efforts to be reinforced. This exercise is the second phase of the Nepal Table-Top Exercise led by the Nepal Army. Activities like this strengthen both countries’ bilateral relationship, increase the ability to save lives, protect property, and prepare for the next major disaster.(U.S. Marine Corps photo by 1st Lt.
