For 12 hours Wednesday, approximately 100 Team Tinker airmen and civilians volunteered to stand 30-minute vigils at the flag pole located at the Wright Flyer Memorial Park on base to recognize America’s resolve to remain vigilant against the tyranny of terrorism and remember those who died in the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. The unprovoked attack killed more people than the deadly assault on Pearl Harbor that brought forth the fury of America’s civilian and military might. Saluting during a "guard change" are Staff Sgt. Justin Magers, 552nd Air Control Networking Squadron, left/back; Senior Airman Briant Roby, 552nd ACNS; Senior Airman Charles Norden, 552nd ACNS; and Senior Airman Mark Sager, 552nd ACNS.
