Col. Randall V. Simmons Jr., 48th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (IBCT) commander, addresses employers, mayors and military dignitaries as they await a presentation of what their employees do when they take military leave from work and what our tax dollars are going toward. The 48th IBCT is at Fort Stewart conducting their eXportable Combat Training Capabilities (XCTC) rotation. While at XCTC, the command team wanted to display three things. To their line soldiers, they wanted to display what there brigade is capable of during a firefight. To the employers, why there guardsmen are the best of the best and what they do when they are away from work. And to the military dignitaries there, why the 48th Infantry Brigade is the best brigade in the United States National Guard.
