During an urban operations training exercise, Georgia Army National Guardsman Pvt. Ryan Nordlund with the 2nd Battalion, 121st Infantry, looks toward the wood line for enemy activity while providing over watch security from the second story level of a building during eXportable Combat Training Capabilities (XCTC) training at Fort Stewart. During the final days of XCTC training guardsmen participated in a four-day war scenario where they used a Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System, or MILES gear, which uses lasers and blank cartridges to simulate actual battle.
