The 143d Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) arrived at Fort Hood, Tx., June 17 in preparation for an upcoming overseas deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Here, the Soldiers of the of the 143d ESC are engaged in a Command Post Exercise - Sustainment (CPX-S), a computer simulated training exercise that uses scenario based events that will prepare the staff to operate cohesively at the operational level. Soldiers and families of the 143d ESC prepared for the current deployment through an array of programs, seminars and training events designed to strengthen the force. The current CPX-S will continue through the week as Soldiers prepare for additional Army Warrior Task training events following its conclusion.
