Ugandan animal and human health care workers act out a skit emphasizing ways to improve sanitation and healthy living for villagers during a One Health mission in the Kaabong district Aug. 23, 2013. One Health is a joint venture between U.S. and foreign militaries, the African Field Epidemiology Network, and the U.S. Agency for International Development with the purpose of increasing education and improving practices which prevent the spread of disease between animals and humans. The skits were the second part of a two-day village assessment in which One Health participants traveled to local communities and determined ways the population could improve their preventative health techniques. The One Health initiative allows CJTF-HOA to have a positive impact on the well-being of partner nations in the African Union Mission in East Africa. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Chad Warren)
