Marines with second squad, third platoon, Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, extract a target from a building in on a Military Operations in Urban Terrain facility during an assault and extraction exercise at Kahuku Training Area, Oct. 1, 2013. Marines used simunition rounds during the exercise to illustrate the importance of not being shot on the battlefield. The SIM rounds look like actual ammunition but contain paintball pellets instead of bullets. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Matthew Bragg)
