Solders from the 529th MP Co.: (Sgt. Joshua D. Grabel and Sgt. John N. Clark at the controls; Pfc. Rudy Dorame and Pfc. Jeremy L. Rutledge inside vehicle), demonstrated how to handle a vehicle safely rolling during Humvee Egress Assistance Trainer (HEAT) training at the Training Support Center in Wiesbaden. Conducting such training under controlled conditions will allow vehicle occupants to gain experience in the proper egress procedures. This type of training is necessary for soldiers to achieve self-control and overcome natural fear and panic following the catastrophic event when a vehicle becomes inverted in a combat or training mission.
