Paul Griffin, Command Security Detachment, 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, uses a metal detector to search for hidden weapons caches near a village southeast of Salman Pak, Iraq, Feb. 15. The village is known to have recently been occupied by al-Qaida members.
