Dilan Swift drinks water from a nonpoisonous vine Oct. 10 as part of a jungle survival course at Naval Station Leovigildo Gantioqui, San Antonio, Zambales, Republic of the Philippine, during Amphibious Landing Exercise 2014. The recurrence of PHIBLEX, now in its 30th year, demonstrates the commitment of the U.S. and Republic of the Philippines to mutual security and their long-time partnership. Swift is a platoon commander with 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, which is currently assigned to the ground combat element, 3d Marine Expeditionary Brigade, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
