Central Lake, Mich., native Brandon A. Lewis, a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, was formally inducted into the non-commissioned officer corps at a joint Army and Air Force NCO induction ceremony. Lewis, a vehicle operator and dispatcher with the Air Force 424th Medium Truck Detachment, is based out of Tucson, Ariz., and is currently serving his third deployment in support of the global war on terror.
