Spc. Evie Valk, a native of Fortuna, Calif., assigned to the 1113th Transportation Company, 152nd Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 15th Sustainment Brigade, ground-guides the lead vehicle through the motor pool prior to a tactical convoy mission to Forward Operating Base Tarin-Kwot, Afghanistan, Nov. 6. The soldiers of the 1113th TC are on their way to TK to deliver class 1 items to U.S forces. Valk serves as a tactical commander on the Maximum Protection Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle.
