Spc. Ruben Barraza from Long Beach, Calif., and Cpl. Sam Causley, from Monterey, Calif., both infantry Soldiers in Company B, 3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division assist in securing a perimeter around the simulated scene of an improvised explosive device attack at Fort Hood, July 21. This objective, part of a two-week training exercise conducted by 3rd BCT, is designed to train Soldiers for reacting to a real IED, as well as treating the casualties of such an attack.
