Friends and family bid farewell to Michigan Army National Guard soldiers from the 1460th Transportation Company on Saturday, Nov. 16, at 2 p.m. from Midland Dow High School located at 3901 N. Saginaw Rd. in Midland. Michigan National Guard Assistant Adjutant General, Brig. Gen. Phillip Owens, meets with 1460th Soldiers prior to the ceremony in Midland Dow High School.
The 1460th Transportation Company will deploy first to Fort Hood, Texas for mobilization training before leaving for Afghanistan. The company will perform transportation missions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
