World War II veteran Warren H. Pinter, of Sebastian, Fla., will celebrate his 90th birthday on December 10, 2013. Pinter served as a Marine during the Pacific Campaign in such battles as Saipan, Tinian and Iwo Jima. Marines with Recruiting Station Fort Lauderdale honored Pinter's service Nov 21, by delivering a letter of thanks from Retired Gen. Alfred M. Grey, the 29th Commandant of the Marine Corps.
