United States Air Force and Royal New Zealand Air Force airmen work together to load a U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III in preparation for an aerial delivery and personnel transport during Exercise Kiwi Flag at RNZAF Base Ohakea, New Zealand, Nov. 21. The RNZAF and NZ Army personnel are being transported to New Zealand's South Island in support of another exercise. Kiwi Flag is a multilateral RNZAF-sponsored tactical airlift exercise conducted in New Zealand. The Royal Australian Air Force, Republic of Singapore Air Force, and the French Armed Forces of New Caledonia also participated. Kiwi Flag personnel provided cargo and passenger airlift including tactical air drops to Exercise Southern Katipo, New Zealand Defence Force's largest-ever multilateral joint force amphibious exercise with eight other nations participating.
