An officer aboard the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS New York (LPD 21) looks over the side of the ship as it arrives at its new homeport at Naval Station Mayport. The homeport change is part of a larger move of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group homeport change in support of strategic dispersal and two viable East Coast surface ship homeports as well as the preservation of the ship repair industrial base in those areas.
