Members of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force participate in a simulated combat engagement along with his platoon, at a training range near Camp Kita-Chitose, Japan, Dec. 6. This was part of a training exercise that was part of First Sergeant's Training, the equivalent of the Army's Warrior Leadership Course. The JGSDF leadership program has taken advice and aspects from the American WLC, and implemented them into the training. This was the final phase of the last outdoor exercise of the training, and included role-playing enemies, armor, and artillery. (U.S. Army photo by Spc.
