The Quick Reaction Force team for 3rd Battalion Infantry Regiment, 256th Brigade Combat Team, conduct 24 hour operations on the streets of Ameriya putting pressure on terrorist activities with their surging presence. Shortly after the QRF finished monitoring a mosque, the patrol was hit by a Improvised Explosive Device. Causing only minor damage the team used evasive tactics to secure the area and assess their situation While Staff Sgt. David Prince gave medical aid to Staff Sgt. Brian Doney, who received a minor injury to his face from the blast. attacked in over a week, since improvements were made around the MCU. After treating the wounded gunner the team mounted back up heading to the area of the IED attack, which was being secured by the 3-156th "Eagle" element. They ended their patrol after locating and securing two more IEDs until the EOD team arrived to clear the area
