Staff Sgt. Darryl Gullekson, pad leader assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron, inspects the under carriage of a vehicle Aug. 19, 2008, at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. Sgt. Gullekson and the rest of his team ensure the safety and security of the air base by carefully inspecting all incoming vehicles for explosives and weapons. Sergeant Gullekson, a native of Muskego, Wis., is deployed from Scott Air Force Base, Ill., in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa.
